Try Guys Admit With Tears That They Knew About Ned Fulmer’s Affair For Weeks

The “Try Guys” found out on September 5 that one of their co-founders, Ned Fulmer, was cheating on his wife, Ariel Fulmer, four weeks before they said he was fired.

Eugene Lee Yang, Keith Habersberger, and Zach Kornfeld, the three remaining members, talked to their fans for the first time since they said they were no longer working with Ned, whom they fired on September 16.

Kornfeld said in a YouTube video called “what happened” that Ned Fulmer no longer worked with the “Try Guys.” Yang and Habersberger were sitting next to him on a couch.

“By now, we’re assuming you’ve seen the Reddit threads, TikToks, tweets, and news articles. We’d like to give you a timeline of what’s happened and explain how we make decisions.

Habersberger, who was looking sad, said, “On Labor Day weekend, several fans told us they had seen Ned and an employee acting romantically in public.”

He went on to say that they called the employee to “check on her” before Ned, 35, “confirmed the reports and since confirmed that this had been going on for some time, which was very shocking for us.”

He also said, “We just want you to know that we had no idea this was going on.” “All of that news was just as surprising to us as what you’ve been hearing this week.”

Yang, who is 36 years old, said that they talked to lawyers, human resources experts, and public relations experts for three weeks to “make sure” they were taking the right steps.

“We were very aware of how much this went against the values we had built into the company and the values of everyone who works here,” he said after taking a moment to calm down. “This is something we take very seriously, and we won’t just brush it under the rug. That’s not who we are, and that’s not what we stand for.”

Kornfeld, who is 32 years old, then said that on September 16, they “signed written consent approving the removal of Ned as manager and employee.” This explains why Ned isn’t in the most recent “Try Guys” videos or on social media.

The team took him out of their store and deleted him digitally from old videos and any marketing materials. Kornfeld even said that getting rid of some videos with a lot of Ned in them “cost” them a lot of money, but they are “proud” of their decision.

Habersberger, 35, said that they couldn’t release the results of their investigation for legal reasons, but they did find that “Ned did not act in a way that was appropriate for our team,” so they knew they couldn’t move forward with him.

He also said that it took so long to tell the public about the problems because “real people had been hurt,” but they were forced to do so when pictures and videos of Ned and Alexandria Herring came out.

“We are so shocked and hurt by everything,” Yang said, wiping away tears. “We worked with this person for eight years to build a business and a brand. We are sad, not just for ourselves but also for our staff and fans who had faith in us.

“I don’t know if we can put into words the pain we feel right now,” said Kornfeld through tears. It’s hard to watch old videos that we love and are proud of because it feels like we’re losing a friend, someone we built a business with and have a lot of memories with. We’re sorry this happened, and we don’t know what else to say.

“This will change here, but we hope that it will lead to good growth and better videos in the future, even though it will be hard,” he said. “This is all going to be hard as f–k.”

Yang, on the other hand, asked their fans to “be kind” and hinted that Herring has been getting a lot of criticism from fans. He then said that more information about the changes to the company would be coming out soon.

Last week, the Try Guys were caught off guard when the internet found out that Ned had been cheating on his wife of 10 years with Herring, a producer of the show.

After they said he was fired on September 27, Ned put out his own statement to explain what happened.

“Family should have always been my top priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship,” he wrote after being seen kissing Herring in a New York City bar.

“I’m sorry if my actions hurt the guys or the fans, but most of all I’m sorry I hurt Ariel,” he said. “Right now, my marriage and my kids are the only things that matter, so that’s where I’ll put my attention.”

Ariel, 36, spoke out about the scandal. She and Ned have two sons together, Wesley, 4, and Finley, 1.

“Thank you very much to everyone who has reached out to me. Ned and I care most about our family, so for now, all we ask is that you respect our privacy for the sake of our kids,” she wrote on Instagram.
