Snoop Dogg is getting set to release another full-length CD, and once again he’s calling on DJ Drama to make the connections and give him a present to celebrate his most recent orbit of the sun.
The Gangsta Grillz founder and Tha Doggfather have a mixtape in the works, and they planned to release it on his big birthday, October 20, they revealed on Monday morning!
On that day, Snoop will be 51, but he still wants the young whippersnappers to know that his pen still has enough of ink to record his raps.
Snoop and Drama have worked together on a number of GG projects, including the first five volumes of his “That’s My Work” series, his “The City Is In Good Hands” LP from 2008, and his Locke High series with producer Terrace Martin.
He’s also having a great year, having started 2022 off with an Emmy Award-winning performance at the Super Bowl halftime show and promising studio collaborations with fellow superstars Dr. Dre and Eminem.
Drama has also been working extra hours to give several projects the Gangsta Grillz badge of approval.
Some recent rappers with GG compilations to receive the go-ahead include Control artist Icewear Vezzo and newcomer Symba. A Jeezy reunion is also imminent.
